MY NIGHTMARE WITH OCWEN MORTGAGE for the last 6-7 years

PROPERTY LOCATION CLARK COUNTY NEVADA

BELIEVE IT OR NOT THIS IS THE SHORT VERSION OF WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH.

I purchased MY HOME IN NEVADA about 16 years ago- MY NIGHTMARE with OCWEN has been going
on for the past 6- or 7 years

• My nightmare started 6 -7 Years ago when my previous mortgage company had told me I was approved for a loan modification. The modification was to lower my rate and monthly payment since I was
  struggling due to financial crisis since 2009 – *I was towards the end of the year my previous mortgage company told me that I would get a lower rate from 5.750 to something like 2.5 to 3% ( this was about 6 years ago) they told me to wait until papers showed up in the mail. I waited through the holiday (It was December at the time) they said sometime in January I should get everything – they told me not to keep calling that the paperwork would arrive so I wanted a month or so. Finally I called about it and was told OCWEN TOOK over the servicing of my mortgage . It was after I had sent a few payments , I didn’t even get a letter from them OR OCWEN – 1) OCWEN WOULD NOT SPEAK TO ME OR MY MORTGAGE COMPANY WHEN THEY TOOK OVER THE LOAN SERVICING MY NIGHTMARE with OCWEN started when I called and was constantly disconnected and told they could NOT SPEAK TO ME because I didn’t pass the security questions they ask when I called that call center in INDIA.
• After 9 months the first year of them serving my loan I found out WHY THEY WOULD not talk to me about my loan or even talk to my HOME OWNERS INSURANCE COMPANY. I found the CEO OF THE COMPANY ( at the time ) William EBERY and his office is located in the US VIRGIN ISLANDS even though their CORP OFFICE was in WEST PALM BEACH FLORIDA. I found a phone number and spoke to MS. JACKIE BROWN his exec assistant . I explained how I had written close to 80 -90 letters to the office in WEST PALM BEACH begging them to call me and how they would not speak to me on the phone or my home owners insurance company. ** AFTER answering a few questions she was able to at least tell me that the ADDRESS for the property
  was WRONG and thats why they would not speak to me – I told her that I would get her proof of the address even though ALL THEY HAD to do is look at my paper file like the appraisal or the note, or loan application that they had… I HAD TO CONTACT THE Post office , a title company and request PROOF of the location of my home to show that OCWENS records were incorrect. I also got my old appraisal and some utility bills showing the address of property. ** Once I faxed everything to her SHOWING that MY ADDRESS is as I SAID IT WAS … SHE THEN TOLD ME that the reason they would not talk to me( customer service or anyone) was that THEIR records in the COMPUTER SHOWED my home was LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PARADISE NEVADA – ( THIS CITY DOES NOT EVEN EXIST IN THE STATE OF NEVADA) THEY also had the WRONG ZIP code.
  2) THE RUN AROUND about my LOAN MODIFICATION
  After I was able to talk to OCWEN about my loan modification, I explained how my previous mortgage company approved me for one before they got it. THEY told me after months of research they could not find anything saying this and that I had to RE APPLY
  I sent in loan ( NEW ) modification packages 3-4 times over the next few years and OCWEN KEPT LOSING THEM. I was constantly transferred to different people, disconnected , left messages to the point of feeling so broken and that they wanted to take my home I would give up , then start over again dreading the phone calls.
  THIS went on for several years on and off TRYING and giving up. ALL this time I refused to walk away from my home when value went from $580,00 down to $125,000 during the financial crisis – I was not one to give up and knew the market would recover and very optimistic- MOST PEOPLE walked away from their homes during this time, and before their credit was ruined would buy a new home for hundreds of thousands of dollars LESS and then their old home would go into foreclosure and didn’t care about screwing over the banks – where AT THE TIME i was not going to neglect my promise to pay back my loan and decided to stick with it but during this time of them losing my loan modification packages I was also losing my entire life savings over the next few years to where I NOW HAVE nothing but at the time qualified for loan modifications due to the savings I had even though my income decreased over 50% or so back then.
  3) ABOUT 2 + YEARS AGO I was told that they had FORECLOSED ON MY PROPERTY AND LOCKED ME OUT OF THE HOUSE when I partially vacated – I still had personal items in the house at the time………….. Suicidal thoughts and extreme depression
• I was 24 years old when I purchased my first home ( I AM IN MY LATE 50’s now) and unlike most people that age , I didn’t buy a new car that I could not afford. IT was my life’s dream to have my own home – since I was a kid, we moved a lot and I had always wanted my own home. I saved and saved and not only purchased my own home, I helped my mother buy a home near by ( this was back in the 1980’s) now she is gone and I have no family . ON the home I purchased in NEVADA because of my hard work all my life, having 3 jobs I was able to put a down payment that was close to $250,000. THIS made my house payment affordable at the time( this was before the financial crisis –
  AFTER I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE the home was NO LONGER MINE OCWEN HIRED ALTISOURCE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TO LOCK ME OUT OF THE HOME AND TO MAINTAIN THE PROPERTY UNTIL IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION- THEY EVEN had my personal ITEMS ( NOT ALL) but SOME STILL IN THE HOUSE AND IN THE GARAGE THAT i HAD no access to .
  4) … IN OCTOBER 2018 I FOUND OUT THAT THE HOUSE was still in my NAME and that they did NOT foreclose on me.
  I had recently talked to a friend that I had not spoken to in several years due to serious DEPRESSION I was still suffering through – and she had asked about my home and she was the one that told me that I STILL OWNED the home and that they DID NOT foreclose on me as they SAID THEY did . I was very upset to hear this and happy at the same time …She advised me to to SELL IT WHILE i can, she told me that CHANCES are I have some equity in the home and get what I could before its to late. DUE TO my medical problems related to my disability I was unable to travel out or get to see the house ,and also did not have the money to pay a lock smith to get me in the house. SHE volunteered to go see the house and tell me what was going on – WHEN I WAS last there it was in good shape , clean and only things that were in the house were my personal belongings. WHEN she arrived at the house, she brought her son and told me she would just look in the windows and report what she could see. WHEN they arrived ( NOV 2018) she discovered that there were people in the house , lots of what looked like people under blankets in the day time and there was no movement, she was not sure if they were dead or just in a deep sleep- she was afraid to ENTER the home- THEY called the POLICE
  THE POLICE ARRIVED and arrested several people – kicked them all out of the house DUE TO MY STATE OF MIND and health problems and depression over this house that I worked all my life for … a month or so later she told me it was in worse condition that she had originally told me – she told me she did not want to send me photos and I didn’t get them until the end of the December or first week of January – She said she and her son were going to get all the trash out of the house left by the squaters Because I didn’t realize how bad it was , I just thought they would fill up some trash bags and haul things to the dump ( not knowing how bad it was at first) she slowly told me more and more and then found out that electrical was all stolen wires hanging out of walls, plumbing stolen , carpet stolen , all light fixtures stolen , dishwasher , hot water heater gone- air conditioning units on roof destroyed , trash in pool, pool equipment stolen – satanic graffiti on walls , cabinets destroyed – human shit in every toilet and smeared on walls and ceilings < all doors broken or stolen closet doors- EVERYTHING that could be taken was taken. NOT TO mention black mold .
  5) Hope lost again depression got worse for me and then I was told to file a insurance claim ( DEC 2018) I called OCWEN MORTGAGE and complained about how they LIED about foreclosure and what I found at the house ( squaters ) and they destroyed the home- THEY gave me the phone number of insurance company –
  I filed CLAIM with the insurance company that OCWEN placed on my home –
  6) I got a copy of my PAYOFF and my friend kept telling me to call OCWEN about it – this call was made before the insurance claim call – I found it hard to even think of calling them due to each time i CALL and even while I am typing this letter i am broke out in HIVES due my nerves but I did it. SHE told me about asking them to find out what some fees were for that were not identified – IT WAS about $31,000 in fees ( aside from the other usual fees you would see on a pay off with – SHE kept telling me how important it was to find out what its for-
  SO I called OCWEN and they told me it was for maintenance fees – property management and repairs – BUT had no other information. ( this was towards the end of the Dec. 2018 during the same time i filed the insurance claim)
  7) ALTISOURCE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT – ( later I found out that they are OWNED by OCWEN MORTGAGE) FEES AND INVOICES FOR LANDSCAPING OVER $31,000 !
  I recieved over 90 invoices from OCWEN MORTGAGE to show the cost for fees that ALTISOURCE charged OCWEN MORTGAGE ( where they added to my pay off) I was outraged and livid to see that they did this to me-
  They said the fees were for
• PROPERTY MANAGEMENT – CHECKING ON THE PROPERTY TO MAKE SURE IT WAS SECURE ( even though they never mentioned squaters living in the house and destroying it ) TWICE a month for 2 years- SQUATERS were living in the house for over a year
• MOWING THE LAWN ( I don’t have a lawn its all dead ) TRIMMING TREES 3-4 times ( at $2000 TO $3000 each time- ( even though THE CITY CODE ENFORCEMENT TOLD ME THAT IF i DID NOT HAVE THE TREES TRIMMED ( DEC 2018 ) they would send contractors there to trim them and put a huge lien on my house-
• INVOICES FOR TRIMMING DEAD BUSHES ( ABOUT 9 OF THEM ON PROPERTY ) $400 TO $500 EACH TIME.
• INVOICES FOR BOGUS REPAIRS (not done )
• INVOICES FOR INSPECTING THE INTERIOR OF THE HOME ( even though they never mentioned finding any squaters or the home was completely destroyed)
  *AND THERE’S AN INVOICE that says invoice for hauling away PERSONAL BELONGINGS ( they stole my things and charged me over $2000 to Uhal my personal items to the DUMP – antiques, some art ,all my tolls , tax returns , boxes of family photos , some furniture , misc house hold items, cloths , ALL MY TOOLS.
• MOST INVOICES DID NOT HAVE A DESCRIPTION for what they did (AND IT TOOK OCWEN from JAN to MAY to get me descriptions explaining what was done to the property
  8) NEW LOAN MODIFICATION – meain while while I am stressing out about the insurance and damage to the home , and getting the run around – Complaining about being ripped off by OCWENS property management company ALTISOURSE
  A LOAN MODIFICATION ARRIVES IN THE MAIL AND THEY DEMAND I SIGN IT – FIRST PAYMENT DUE JAN 2019
• THEY DID NOT LOWER MY PAYMENT
• THEY DID NOT LOWER MY RATE ITS STILL CLOSE TO 6%
  I never even was able to reach the RELATIONSHIP MANAGER MS. TOMIKA WILLIAMS- each time I CALLED , i HAD TO SET AN APPOINTMENT TO SPEAK TO HER.
  I WAS GIVEN A SPECIFIC TIME TO BE BY THE PHONE AT A SPECIFIC TIME. The first time was on a TUESDAY FIRST WEEK OF JAN 2019 3PM – I WAITED BY THE PHONE AND GOT A CALL FROM A DIFFERENT PERSON , THEY TOLD ME SHE WAS BUSY ON ANOTHER CALL.
  I WAS TOLD TO MAKE A NEW APPOINTMENT FOR A WEEK LATER, SO I DID , FOR THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY AT THE TIME TIME 3PM- THIS TIME NOBODY CALLED ME, I WAITED OVER AN HOUR AND CALLED BACK – ONE person would say there was no appointment but another person said there was and then set a NEW appointment for the following Tuesday at 3PM
  AFTER 4 missed appointments I GAVE UP – they never called me and it was clear they had no plans to – THEY DID TELL ME they would foreclose if I didn’t make that payment
  UNDER DURRESS I MADE THE FIRST PAYMENT OF $1600 at the end of JAN 2019 thinking in good faith they would call me .
  9) the REASON I WANTED TO TALK TO RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
  TO ASK
  *explain that ITS NOT FAIR THEY include $31,000 in landscaping FEES TO MY BALANCE of my MORTGAGE
• TO ASK WHY THEY DIDN’T GET ME A LOWER INTEREST RATE – request lower rate since the the whole point of a LOAN MODIFICATION was to make the payment AFFORDABLE
• TO ALSO INFORM THE RELATIONSHIP MANAGER THAT THE HOUSE HAS BEEN DESTROYED BY SQUATERS and there is CURRENTLY AN INSURANCE CLAIM ON PROGRESS that was APPROVED
• TO EXPLAIN THAT I CAN NOT AFFORD A MORTGAGE PAYMENT ON A HOUSE AND RENT PAYMENT WERE I AM LIVING NOW ( $3,000 ) at the same time.
• TO EXPLAIN THAT THE HOUSE IS NOT EVEN IN LIVABLE CONDITION I CANT TURN ON THE ELECTRICITY DUE TO IT BEING A FIRE HAZARD , CANT TURN ON THE WATER BECAUSE WITH MISSING PLUMBING IT WOULD FLOOD THE HOUSE, THERE IS BLACK MOLD IN THE HOUSE- ITS UNSAFE FOR ME ESPECIALLY BEING DISABLED , THERE IS NO HEATING NO AIR – BROKEN WINDOW NOW FLOORING NO USE OF SINKS TOILETS SHOWER
• INSURANCE CLAIM UPDATE – IT WAS APPROVED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO Get REPAIRS DONE AND THEY SENT ME A CHECK BUT I LATER FOUND OUT THEY PUT STOP PAYMENT ON IT – SO NOW I CANT GET WORK DONE THEY WANT ME TO ENDORSE THE CHECK OVER TO OCWEN ( THE SAME COMPANY THAT LIED TO ME A FEW YEARS AGO AND TOLD ME MY HOME WAS FORECLOSE ON THAT LOCKED ME OUT OF MY HOME THAT ALSO WILL NOT RETURN CALLS and that HIRED A CROOKED COMPANY CALLED ALTISOURCE ( THAT I FOUND OUT ONLY RECENTLY THAT IS OWNED BY OCWEN MORTGAGE!
  I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM BELIEVING THAT A COMPANY CALLED LOCATED IN ATLANTA GA TRAVELED TO MY HOME TO DO LANDSCAPING TWICE A MONTH – THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY OFFICES IN NEVADA – HOW CAN THEY have done any of this work. THEY PHONE NUMBER I Have for them does not allow me to reach anyone – to even dispute this . I have written letters to them asking them to call me for 5 months now since OCWEN MORTGAGE wont give me a phone number to reach them.
  AT THIS POINT I AM FINANCIALLY RUINED – I suffer extreme depression and there is not a day that goes by that I wish I didn’t wake up and wish I had the courage to end my life. I have not taken the medication that keeps me alive ( for my disability ) for months , I am on and off the meds – I have no hope anymore- I have NO FAMILY to help me. I FIND IT HARD TO ASK FOR HELP.
  I have contacted state and gov agencies about this and they tell me to get an attorney and I CANT AFFORD ONE much less afford FOOD at times – I face being evicted due to the time consuming efforts of making calls every day, getting calls with BAD NEWS all the time being told they cant help me
  I have called sent 100 PAGE faxes complaints to BBB and CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROT BUR ( CFPB ) and basically all they do is FORWARD MY COMPLAINT TO OCWEN BY EMAIL and they REPLY SAYING THAT THEY ” DISAGREE WITH MY COMPLAINT” or they INVESTIGATED MY COMPLAINT and its not valid – THEN THE CPFB sends me THE REPLY FROM OCWEN – SAME GOES WITH BBB AND OTHER AGENCIES – NONE OF THE AGENCIES ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING they just pass info from me to ocwen and their response back to me- non of them can do anything about it. I complain that OCWEN wont call me, they say they call me ( yet my phone bill shows no calls on dates and times they say they call me) AND now I just get calls and hang ups from OCWEN they don’t leave messages if I miss calls – ( this has been going on for the last 2 weeks as OF

  While all this is happening a friend started a GOFUND ME PAGE to help me out and its only raised under $150 – yet I see other go fund me pages where DOGS that need surgery of raised over $1000 in a few days- things are not looking good.
  ONE LAST THING ABOUT ME- I AM A FIGHTER and always have been – right around the time of 9-11 I was told I was going to die- I spent 3 months in the hospital, 1st month in the EMERGENCY ROOM- MY doctors and everyone told me I would not get out but I DID – AFTER THAT- I was told that I WOULD NEVER WORK AGAIN – becuase I am a fighter – I DID WORK – being self employed I was at home hooked up to oxygen for a few months and worked anyways even though for the longest time I could not climb the stairs to go sleep in my bedroom- soon after that I was taking my oxygen tank with me to appointments to meet my clients and I took care of myself and never crossed my mind that I would fail- this is the kind of person I have always been – NEVER GIVE UP , fight and succeed – I have never asked for state help, food stamps or free hand out – BUT NOW I am broken , feel hopeless , I have A HUGE TRUNK full of paperwork from over the years fighting to get help with this situation – Doing what I do for a living – i have to have a positive attitude – but I do not anymore – ITS NOT about the money and working all my life, I know many people lost their homes- most of them had friends , family to stay with , until they get back on their feet and I HAVE NO body to turn to and people I know are in no position to help me- ALL MY LIFE I have helped people, friends that needed a place to stay , with money when I had it (I USED TO make a lot more money then that I do in recent years) I have NEVER ASKED for help like I am asking for now – I say this is not about the money i really mean it, its about having a place to live and work from home. IN TOUGH TIMES I could have a roommate or two to help out with rent – but CANT DO THIS now- I want to save my home- I DO NOT want to be a burden to anyone , live on welfare , food stamps , public housing- MY PLAN was that when I RETIRED I wanted to sell my home , buy a small condo and live off my savings and social security – THAT DREAM IS GONE now and I am in fear of having no future
  AND CURRENTLY also struggling with just paying my rent and losing work over this whole mess – the depression is overwhelming and I JUST cant put it into words how it effects everything else.
  I don’t want a free hand out – I need an ATTORNEY and can not afford one and I HAVE TRIED FINDING THEM- they only do get paid after IF your in a car accident – and there are NO PROBONO ATTORNEYS IN MY AREA I HAVE searched for a few years now – I am literally one of those people that DO NOT eat and skip meals every day- and when I do eat its once a day- AND YES a few months ago I swallowed my
  pride and applied for EBT card that helps me with under $200 a month for food and that does NOT last the entire month.
